Articles of Incorporation

The National Refining Co.

Know all men by these presents. That we, W.H. Lamprecht, J. I. Lamprecht, W. F. Lamprecht, Amos Denison and G. O. Lamprecht whose names are hereto subscribed and acknowledged, being desirous of becoming a body corporate under the laws of the State of Ohio, for the purpose hereinafter stated, do make enter into and adopt the following Articles of Incorporation.

Article 1. The name of this Corporation shall be
The National Refining Company

Article 2. The said Corporation shall be located and its principal business transacted in the City of Cleveland, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio.

Article 3. The purpose for which this Corporation is formed is to conduct and carry on a general refining business of Petroleum and its products. Manufacturing, Treating, Dealing in, Buying and Selling the same with full power and privilege of doing and performing all matters and things generally appertaining to or connected with the business of Oil processing, refining and handling.

Article 4. The total Capital Stock of this Corporation shall be the sum of $50,000.00 divided into 500 shares of $100.00 each.

Before me a Notary Public in and for paid county, personally appeared the above named W.H. Lamprecht, J. I. Lamprecht, W. F. Lamprecht, Amos Denison, and G. O. Lamprecht to me personally known to be the identical persons who signed the above instrument and each of these did thereupon acknowledge that he did sign and seal said instrument for the purposes therein expressed and that the same is his free act and deed.

I Henry W. Kitchen, Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, a Court of Record of Cuyahoga County aforesaid do hereby certify that Farnk R. Laudin before whom the annexed acknowledge much was taken was at the date thereof a Notary Public in and for said county duly authorized by the laws of Ohio to take the same and that farewell acquainted with his handwriting and believe his signature thereto is genuine.

Note: The National Refining Company's articles of incorporation were cancelled in 1932 for failure to pay its corporate franchise tax.
